How to Beat Sand Devil in Raid and Best Champions Team

Are you looking for the best ways to beat the Sand Devil in the Raid Shadow Legends? If yes, then you are at the right place. Al-Naemeh (Sand Devil) is one of the toughest bosses in Raid Shadow Legends.

This dungeon is designed as endgame content for players with more developed accounts and champions. It features unique mechanics not seen anywhere else in Teleria.

By clearing this dungeon, you will earn Artifact Oil. It is the currency used to ascend your artifacts and unlock more powerful builds for your champions.

If you are trying to farm Artifact Oil or simply beat the dungeon, you need a proper strategy. This guide will give you a clear explanation of how the fight works, which champions are effective, and how to build teams for both early progression and endgame farming.

How to Beat the Sand Devil?

You need at least one champion who can apply a Sleep debuff to the boss if you want to beat the Sand Devil in Raid Shadow Legends.

The reason behind this is that when the boss is asleep, his debuff immunity drops, and he takes full damage. This is your only window to deal meaningful damage and apply debuffs.

In addition, you can bring champions who deal damage based on Enemy Max HP (HP Burn, Poison, or direct Max HP nukes) since the boss scales to extremely high HP at higher stages.

You will also need healing during the Sleep window to restore your team’s destroyed Max HP. Moreover, you will need a reviver to survive the boss’s devastating AoE nuke that ignores all defensive buffs.

Survivability is also a major part of the strategy. The Sand Devil constantly destroys your team’s Max HP and has a powerful AoE attack that ignores most defensive mechanics. Because of this, you should bring a reviver to recover from its big hits. Healing is also useful, especially during the Sleep phase, since some mechanics allow your champions to restore destroyed Max HP when healed at the right time.

The core team formula is:

1 Sleep champion + 1–2 Max HP damage dealers + 1 debuffer + 1 healer/reviver.

What are the skills of Sand Devil?

Rage of the Sands (A1)

It is his basic attack, and it’s very effective. It hits all enemies and applies both Decrease Speed and Decrease Accuracy. This skill makes it harder for your team to take turns or land debuffs. Over time, this slows your entire run and disrupts your strategy.

Dune Tempest (A2)

Before attacking, the Sand Devil clears itself of all debuffs and heals based on how much MAX HP your team has already lost. This results in his faster healing as the fight goes forward. After that, he strikes all enemies. His damage reduction depends on how many debuffs he removes.

Feasting Swarm (A3)

This is his most threatening offensive skill. It ignores defensive mechanics like Shield, Block Damage, Unkillable, and even 100% of your DEF. It makes this tough to ease. After using it, he places himself under Sleep for 2 turns. There is also a passive effect that increases this skill’s cooldown if enemies place Sleep on him, which discourages players from trying to manipulate that state too easily.

Rest of the Wicked (Passive)

The next skill is the rest of the wicked, which makes him resistant to control. He is immune to almost every debuff other than Sleep. He also ignores many common mechanics like Turn Meter reduction or cooldown increases. Moreover, he can reduce damage that scales with dungeon stages. It makes him tougher the deeper you go. Interestingly, this damage reduction weakens slightly for each debuff on him. It gives players a small incentive to stack debuffs despite their ability to clean.

Soul Sustenance (Passive)

Souls Sustenance is related directly to his ability to survive. Every time he attacks, he permanently reduces the MAX HP of all enemies. It makes healing less efficient over time. If you try to reduce his Turn Meter, he beats you by destroying your champion’s MAX HP in return.

Dreamless Sleep (Passive)

This skill is what defines the flow of the fight. Whenever he falls asleep, a hidden “Slumber counter” begins going down as he takes hits. Once it reaches zero, he becomes temporarily immune to it. This forces players to carefully time their damage bursts to maximize efficiency while he’s vulnerable.

Best Champions Team to Beat the Sand Devil

Main Strategy

The team has to include four important roles:

1. Two Ally Attack Champions (Core Engine)

You need two champions who trigger ally attacks. This puts the burst damage when the Sand Devil is asleep.

Best champions:

  • Fahrakin the Fat
  • Longbeard
  • Cardiel
  • Padraig
  • Lanakis

You need to keep in mind that single-target ally attackers would not work. You must include the whole team.

Key Buffs/Debuffs:

  • Ally Attack (core mechanic for burst damage)
  • Increase ATK / Increase CRIT Rate (boost team damage output)
  • Burn/Poison (extra value if applied during ally attacks)

2. A 100% Sleep Champion (Turn Enabler)

You need to put the Sand Devil to sleep before your damage cycle begins. This is important:

  • Must land sleep reliably
  • Needs  around 270+ speed and around 500 accuracy
  • Top choices: Siphi, Macha (Macag), Adelyn
  • Best epic options: Aina or Conellia

Key Buffs/Debuffs:

  •  Sleep (mandatory debuff to enable damage window)
  •  Increase SPD (helps maintain turn order)
  • Turn Meter boost (optional for smoother rotations)

3. A Debuffer (Damage Amplifier)

Your damage depends heavily on stacking debuffs before the ally attacks trigger.

  • Key debuffs: Decrease DEF, Weaken, Decrease ATK, Decrease SPD
  • Budget option: Ruella (less consistent)
  • Premium options: Lydia, Ramantu, Kymar variants

Key Buffs/Debuffs:

  • Decrease DEF (essential for maximizing burst damage)
  • Weaken (increases total damage dealt)
  • Decrease ATK (reduces incoming damage)
  • Decrease SPD (slows boss cycles)

4. A Primary Damage Dealer (Finisher)

This is where your burst comes from during ally attacks.

  • Best epic choices: Whisper (top-tier) or Fenax/Phoenix-style nukers
  • Build focus: high ATK, Crit Damage, ignore DEF where possible
  • Speed is less important—damage stats matter most

Key Buffs/Debuffs:

  • Ignore DEF / Defense penetration (for higher burst)
  • Increase ATK (boosts raw damage output)
  • Critical Rate & Critical Damage (core damage scaling stats)
  • Extra hits during ally attack (maximizes sleep window damage)

How the Team Works (Turn Order)

  1. Sleep Champion goes first → applies sleep
  2. Debuffer goes second → applies all key debuffs
  3. Ally Attack Champions trigger → bring in full team attacks
  4. Damage Dealer nukes repeatedly → massive burst during sleep window

If built correctly, the Sand Devil dies before waking up.

Best End Version Team (Fastest & Most Reliable)

  • Sleep: Siphi / Macaab
  • Debuffer: Lydia
  • Ally Attack x2: Cardiel + Fahrakin
  • DPS: Whisper

Budget Friendly Version (Epic-Focused)

  • Sleep: Aina / Conellia
  • Debuffer: Ruella
  • Ally Attack x2: Fahrakin + Longbeard
  • DPS: Whisper

Best Hybrid Version Team (Accessible + Strong)

  • Sleep: Macag
  • Debuffer: Lydia
  • Ally Attack: Fahrakin + flex option
  • DPS: Phoenix-style nuker

Key Stat Requirements

  • Sleep Champion:
  • Speed: 270–280+
  • Accuracy: around 500
  • Debuffer & Ally Attackers:
  • Accuracy: around 500
  • Speed tuned after sleeper
  • Damage Dealer:
  • ATK: 6k–7k+
  • Crit Damage: 250–300%
  • Speed: low (150–170 is fine)

FAQ

What is the best Sand Devil team in Raid Shadow Legends?

If you want to build the best sand devil team in Raid Shadow Legends, you need to build around a Sleep champion with strong debuffs and high burst damage. You need one champion to apply Sleep, one champion to apply a debuff to weaken the boss, two ally attack champions to trigger full team attacks, and a powerful damage dealer to maximize damage during the sleep window. This will let you defeat the Sand Devil quickly before it wakes up and uses its deadly abilities.

What strategy works best for Sand Devil battles?

The best strategy to beat the Sand Devil in Raid is to deal damage when the Sand Devil is asleep. First apply Sleep, then apply debuffs like Decrease DEF. This will weaken the Sand Devil, which can be used to apply the burst damage with ally attacks or strong nukers. You also need healing and a reviver to recover from his powerful attacks.

What are the Skills of the Sand Devil?

Sand Devil in Raid has many powerful skills. It’s an A1 hits all enemies and applies Decrease Speed and Accuracy. Moreover, his A2 clears debuffs, heals based on lost Max HP, and attacks all enemies. The A3 is the most dangerous. It ignores defense and protective buffs and then puts itself to sleep. Its passive abilities make it resistant to most debuffs. It reduces incoming damage, destroys your team’s Max HP, and creates a Sleep cycle that controls when you can safely deal damage.

Which champions perform best against the Sand Devil boss?

Sleep champions like Siphi or Conellia are the best against the Sand Devil boss. Moreover, debuffers such as Lydia or Ruella are also effective. Not just that, the ally attacks champions like Fahrakin the Fat and Longbeard, along with Whisper, are a good choice.

Why is a Sleep champion mandatory for this dungeon?

A Sleep champion is mandatory because it allows you to attack when the Sand Devil is vulnerable. Even though the boss can put itself to sleep after using its A3 ability, depending only on that timing is slow. You need to bring a champion who can reliably apply Sleep. This will allow you to trigger your damage cycle on demand and maintain control of the fight.
