Bazaar Guide – Item Values
In this guide we’ll look at the value of different items in the Bazaar to help you decide what you should buy with your gold bars. To stay consistent with our definitions of value we used the same values that we apply in our deal and offer calculator. The values are somewhat subjective, though they are based on a variety of different sources such as cross-checks with other content creators as well as using the $ value of packs to benchmark (those are variable and other factors are taken into account of course, as Plarium often inflates item values to maximize their profits).
Note that Bazaar values may change, and this article is written with the values as they stand on August 29, 2020.
TL;DR What Should I Buy In The Bazaar?
The summary of our analysis suggests the following order of priority for your purchases (in the “Value” column, lower is better):
Item | Cost (Gold Bars) | Value (Lower = Better) |
Champion Fragments (Lego) | 360 | 108 |
300 energy | 1000 | 130 |
1 Ancient shard | 1200 | 600 |
Accessory (Silver) | 200 | 667 |
Accessory (Gold) | 300 | 750 |
50k Silver | 200 | 800 |
1 Sacred shard | 30000 | 1500 |
Rank 3 chicken | 900 | 1800 |
Rank 5 chicken | 20000 | 2000 |
Rare book | 1000 | 2000 |
1 Void shard | 15000 | 3000 |
Legendary book | 25000 | 3571 |
Epic book | 13000 | 3714 |
Rank 4 chicken | 10000 | 5000 |
3 brews | 300 | 30000 |
As you can see, according to our value definitions, the top things you should buy are Champion fragments (assuming of course you want that Champion), 300 energy (buy EVERY time), the Ancient shard (more on that below), and accessories (conservative value estimate based on silver – small chance of great accessory isn’t factored in).
Shard values in the Bazaar – Which Ones Should I Buy?
The ancient shards are the best value in the Bazaar by far based on expected rate of legos. Look at it this way – it takes 12 Ancient shard openings to get roughly the same chance of a Lego as using a Sacred shard during regular summons (1 – 0.995^12 = 5.8%). 12 Ancient shards would cost you 1200*12 = 14400 Gold Bars, vs. 30000 for a Sacred shard. Obviously the issue here though is the cooldown, which is 1 week (currently) for Ancient shards. Because of the cooldown, it means you may still want to use Gold Bars for Sacred (or even Void – which are the most expensive) shards (if of course you manage to get to the right tiers in the arena). However what is clear is that you MUST buy the Ancient shard whenever it’s off cooldown.
Books – Are They Good Value In The Bazaar?
First of all, don’t buy Rare books. Sure, they have an assigned value and technically aren’t the most expensive ones there, but what’s not factored in here is that there are tons of other ways to obtain Rare books. Epic and Legendary books ARE expensive in the Bazaar, but they’re also quite difficult to find. The reason we say they’re expensive is when compared with other items available for sale through either the Bazaar or the store. The reality is when you buy a Legendary book in the Bazaar it’s about 30x more expensive than the 300 energy purchase. Does that mean you shouldn’t buy it? Really depends at the end of the day on what you need.
